Our Mission is to provide an industrial/arts build facility, where members can learn, make, and teach.
We can only do this with your support. We are the first small town to do something that has only happened in larger cities. All our personnel are volunteers, and any donations go directly toward more tools and a better space. Whether teaching our youth (or anyone interested) how to build, or providing the space and materials to make your own projects, or starting a business selling your product, we are here for you.
Some of you may know that Willits has a substantial pool of skilled ‘elder makers’ who have been using tools, creating products, and solving real world problems creatively for decades.
Wowser wants to utilize the skills & knowledge of this extensive ‘maker’ community of elders. By placing these ‘makers’ together with youth (and under-trained/underemployed adults), Wowser expects to increase the heath and vigor of our community.
We also expect Wowser members will find that the industrial and creative resources of Wowser continue to be critical as they develop businesses of their own. Members will both rent machine time and become mentors. This mentorship link (between the first and subsequent members of Wowser) strengthens ties within the local economy and develops broader opportunities through strong networking and referral channels
Please help us with your support! We need the support of our community to thrive.
Share your expertise; Teach a workshop for us (you can even get paid).
Become a Wowser Sponsor:
- Individual Wowser sponsor: $Any amount of money, time or tools helps.
- Scholarship a youth: $250.00 (membership, materials, and class)
- Business sponsor: $1000.00 to $5000.00. We will acknowledge you on our donor wall and in our press releases. We will even name a tool after you and put a plaque on the tool with your name.
Help us keep going. This is for you; and while we volunteer our time, we still have overhead.
